Being environmentally conscious becomes a state of mind and a daily decision. You don’t always get an opportunity to make an environmentally sound choice in every aspect of your life, but increasingly, you can make this choice when it comes to the products you purchase for your child.

To celebrate and create awareness for Earth Day, April 22, I wanted to highlight some of Lusso Baby’s eco-friendly and environmentally conscious brands. Plan Toys has been one of my favourites, so I thought I’d start with them!

Never heard of Plan Toys? Well, let me give you a formal introduction:

Plan Toys create fun and environmentally friendly toys that encourage your child’s imagination and development. They have a Green Concept, which is practicing “the “FOUR R’s” of green living: Rethink, Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.” Not only does Plan Toys consider sustainability with their manufacturing process (recyclable materials, use of solar energy and biomass for their plants), but they produce toys using water based, non-toxic colours, E-Zero glue and wood from “rubber trees that no longer provide latex.” Using rubberwood means there is no deforestation as new trees are replanted to replace those cut down. Not only is Plan Toys environmentally conscious, they are also socially conscious. They founded and sponsor projects and programs for children and the community.

So what does Plan Toys look like?
