Green options in contemporary baby furniture feature sustainable or FSC-certified wood and low VOC paints and finishes. Some brands seek additional certification as well.

For example, products from Young America’s 2nd Nature collection are certified by GreenGuard, in the categories Indoor Air Quality and Children & Schools. To achieve GreenGuard’s seal, the manufacturer must use pre-approved building materials that have been screened and tested for content and emissions.

Organic Mattresses

We also carry organic mattresses made with natural cotton and bamboo – even rubber straight from the tree. By forgoing dyes and chemical treatments organic mattresses are safe for baby’s delicate respiratory system.
