Contemporary Use of Carriers and Slings

Although the practice goes back for centuries around the world, keeping babies close in a sling has become even more popular in recent years. Parents may choose to ‘wear’ their baby for convenience in performing household tasks, for easy travel, or as part of an ‘attachment parenting’ strategy.
